Editorial DesignThis project was focussing on editorial design. Looking at layout, typography and composition. The publication was a way of making the reader slow down in a fast paced environment we live in. The content follows the journey of a handmade mug, showing the beauty ‘in create not copy.’ I considered paper stock, different typographical elements and how different colours print on different stocks. I embossed the front cover of the book to add in an element of handcrafted. I designed the layout to be slow paced, emphasising the importance of slowing down and appreciating the beauty in the handmade. I added the day and time to each page, illustrating the time and passion that goes into the handmade; making it a prominent feature for the reader to follow. The colour palette consisted of muted tones, with a Sans Serif font accompanying. The content was generated using AI ensuring we were able to focus soley on the design and layout of the publication.
